Kimi currently offers four international consumer membership tiers: Moderato at $19/month, Allegretto at $39/month, Allegro at $99/month and Vivace at $199/month. Annual billing reduces the effective monthly price. K2.6 in ordinary Chat currently does not consume membership credits, so a paid plan is most relevant for K3, agents, research, documents, Kimi Work, Kimi Code, Claw and higher usage limits.

How Membership Credits Work
Advanced membership features share one pool metered primarily by token usage. A long research or coding task can consume more than a short request. You can spend the pool on one feature, but doing so leaves less for the others.
- Credits refresh at the applicable subscription cycle.
- Unused ordinary credits do not roll over.
- K2.6 in normal Chat does not currently consume membership credits.
- K2.6 used as an Agent inside Kimi Work can consume credits.
- Kimi Code draws from the membership benefit and also has product-specific rate controls.
Which Plan Fits Which User?
| Need | Starting plan to evaluate |
|---|---|
| Occasional advanced tasks and entry-level Kimi Code | Moderato |
| Goal Mode, Claw and more Swarm concurrency | Allegretto |
| K3 extra-long 1M chat, more projects and heavier workflows | Allegro |
| Highest personal credit pool and frequent advanced use | Vivace |
| Mostly ordinary questions in K2.6 Chat | Remain on free access first |
Extra Usage
Eligible subscribers can enable Extra Usage, a pay-as-you-go balance used after subscription credit is exhausted or rate-limited. Current Kimi documentation says it is available only to subscribers and is shared across supported Kimi clients. Review the live wallet price, currency and spending controls before enabling it.
Monthly vs Annual Billing
Annual billing produces the published savings shown above but commits more money upfront. Choose monthly billing when you are testing a workflow, expect limits to change or do not yet know whether credits match your workload. Choose annual billing only after measuring several real billing cycles.
Cancellation and Renewals
Current official guidance says auto-renewal can be cancelled from Settings → Subscription or through the store used to purchase. Benefits remain active until the end of the paid cycle. Refund rules can differ by purchase route and jurisdiction.
Membership Is Not API Pricing
The Kimi Open Platform is separate pay-as-you-go developer billing. A consumer plan does not create an equivalent Open Platform balance. See Kimi API Pricing for token rates and tool fees.
