Kimi Mobile App
The official mobile app lets you sign in with the same supported Kimi account used on the web. Current Kimi guidance says conversations synchronize across supported devices when the same account is used.
- Confirm the seller or developer is Moonshot AI or the official Moonshot entity shown by the store.
- On Android, the official package identifier is currently
com.moonshot.kimichat. - Review the current operating-system requirement in the store before installing.
- Avoid third-party APK sites and apps that use “Kimi” in the title but show another developer.
Kimi Work for Desktop
Kimi Work is the desktop workspace for tasks involving local files, documents, research, dashboards, plugins, scheduled work and supported computer-use features. Local-file tasks may need to continue on the computer where the files are available, even when conversations synchronize through the account.
Use the official download page to obtain the current Windows or macOS build. Platform support and hardware requirements can change, so do not rely on an old installer shared by another website.
Kimi Code
Kimi Code is a developer product for terminal and IDE workflows. The official page currently publishes its own installer and documentation. A command copied from a current official Kimi page is safer than a repackaged binary from a download mirror.
curl -fsSL https://code.kimi.com/kimi-code/install.sh | bash
Review the command and official documentation before running it. Kimi Code can read files, modify code and run shell commands in its working directory, so start in a test project, use version control and protect directories containing secrets.
How to Verify an Official Installer
- Start from Kimi.com or Moonshot.ai.
- Follow the product’s own download link.
- Check the full domain and certificate.
- Verify the app-store developer or software publisher.
- Review the requested permissions.
- Check the official release notes or checksum process where supplied.
- Scan unexpected files and never disable security controls merely to force an installation.
Is Kimi Free to Download?
The official download page currently states that Kimi is free to use on web, desktop and mobile, while advanced features and higher limits can require a paid membership. Downloading an application and using every feature without limits are different questions.

Installation Problems
- Confirm the device meets the current operating-system requirement.
- Free enough storage and restart the device.
- Update the operating system and app store.
- Disable a VPN or restrictive proxy only for a controlled test, then restore protection.
- Use the official app-not-working guide when the installed app crashes or cannot connect.
